Dr Anthony Lawrence is a specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist and has been in specialist practice for 22 years. He initially completed a Bachelor of Science Honors degree majoring in biochemistry prior to his medical degree.

Dr Lawrence has a special interest in the investigation and management of infertility, working as a clinician with Monash IVF for over 20 years and is a keen participant in the clinical application of new IVF technology. Dr Lawrence has developed skills in advanced laparoscopic surgery with a particular interest in severe endometriosis and is involved in a preceptorship program teaching other specialists these advanced techniques at the Monash Medical Centre.

Dr Lawrence is a past director of Monash IVF, a Senior Visiting Specialist at Monash Medical Centre and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Monash University. He is a consultant gynaecologist at the Alexandra District Hospital.

Dr Lawrence has presented nationally and internationally at medical conferences, particularly in relation to laparoscopic surgery and has published and refereed medical journals. He has been actively involved in teaching medical practitioners and medical students over many years.
