About
MSPH
Monash Surgical Private Hospital (MSPH) is a private day surgery facility, registered with the DHS and accredited under the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards. Established in 1991, MSPH is a purpose-built facility focused on day surgery, with a specialty in in-vitro fertilisation (IVF). It operates as a private, for-profit, stand-alone day surgery centre, specialising in gynaecological surgery and IVF treatment.
This commercial beginning represented the efforts of the medical specialist members of Carl Wood and Associates (CWA) and Monash IVF to open their own hospital, with a vision to create an establishment of world class excellence. Their objective was to specialise in IVF and advanced gynaecological surgery on a day only basis, utilising leading edge techniques that were backed by the highly regarded IVF medical research provided by Monash University and its Institute of Reproduction and Development Sciences.
Since the early 1980’s, Professor Carl Wood and his Associates have been regarded as world leaders in the development of IVF technology. Their early and continuing research has led to many world firsts in the advancement of reproductive technology. Their investment has proven to be a highly successful partnership as MSPH is today one of the busiest day facilities in Australia.
At MSPH, we work hard to ensure that your visit with us is as pleasant and comfortable as possible and that your expectations and goals of care are met. Our team of staff across the entire hospital are extremely proud of the standard of care delivered to our consumers and we would welcome your feedback on your stay at our facility.
MSPH acknowledges that we are on the traditional land of the Boonwurrung and Wurundjeri people and offer our respects to the elders past and present. We recognise and respect the cultural heritage of this land.
